As the CEO (Chief Exploration Officer) of 80experiments, I felt as if I were retired.
The last trip to Malaysia dates back a few months. And after almost silently breaking up with my challenge to help companies around the world launch new ideas in exchange for food and shelter — I secretly started flirting with foreign companies again.
That’s why I’m excited to announce I’ve just boarded an airplane to the United Arab Emirates.
What will I do in the United Arab Emirates?
Experiment [26/80] varies a bit from the things I’ve done before. It’s not an idea of my own I’ll execute. It’s the idea of a photographer I know. He’s asked to do a photoshoot for the Radisson Blu Fujairah, and promote it as the go-to place for your holiday by showing all the things you can do in and around the futuristic city of Dubai.
Of course, someone has to do the dirty work and needs to be in the actual photos. That’s why he called me last Sunday. Since it was -2C and snowing in The Netherlands, it was a tough decision. But after giving it at least 0,215 seconds of thought, I decided to take it on as an experiment: A new culture, and I’ve never been a model before..
What are you curious about in Dubai?
Curiosity is one of the main driving forces behind my project.
To make sure we shoot the right photos, we could use your help. Therefore I have two questions:
- If you’ve been to Dubai, what’s something we should definitely do?
- If you’ve never been to Dubai, what are you curious about?
Travel with us?
Of course, I’ll write an update about the trip afterward, but you can also tag along on Instagram where I’ll post a #PhotoOfTheDay every day I’m there.
